ABOUT ME

Originally from Venice island, I grew up surrounded by art and history that deeply shaped my artistic path.

I began dancing professionally at the age of eleven, working with Sarah Michelson for La Biennale di Venezia. After obtaining a BA in Dance/Performance from Codarts University of the Arts, I performed a diverse repertoire that included works by Club Guy & Roni, Jan Martens, Nacho Duato, and Samir Calixto, among others.

My career then led me to Internationaal Danstheater, where I toured internationally and developed a strong interest in traditional dances and their cultural narratives. Alongside this work, I collaborated as a freelance dancer with artists such as Simona Bucci, Ricci/Forte, Liat Waysbort, and Fabrizio Favale.

Between 2016 and 2020, I was a core member of Compagnia Arearea, performing both on stage and in site-specific contexts. During this period, I also developed my own choreographic projects and dance films.

Since 2021, I have been a member of En-Knap Group in Ljubljana, performing in works by numerous international choreographers.

My main artistic interest centers on the body, movement, and what a moving body in space and time can express. I am deeply interested in imagination as a motor for creation, and I love improvisation as a tool for generating movement and situations.

At the same time, I am equally drawn to very strict choreographic scores and to the search for freedom, intuition, and humanity within them. Sometimes I like to think of my body as an archive, a vessel through which choreographic knowledge, practices, and legacies are embodied and transmitted.
